We waited here for the police to give us permission to cross the road to attend the annual Ocala Arts & Crafts Festival. The crowd was made up of a number of interesting people.
I love the weird hair because you can change it when you want to. Don't quite get the fashion for huge tats. Oh, well, I'm getting used to walking around looking at a constant circus.
Thanks for telling me about the Nikon D40. I checked it out online. I also took my camera in to be looked at and it seems to be a gear malfunction in the lens mechanism. Luckily it is still under warrenty. So I will be without a camera for about a week. I am having withdrawals already. I asked if they had a loaner for me and they apoligised and said no. I tried. I have a Canon SX10 and seems somewhat close to the Nikon. Pricewise anyway. I shal research some more. MB
My wife's an observer. She observes people for their behaviour and something significant about them that she might have noticed. You go out there and despite being around all strangers, you'll not get bored if you are really observant! Nice Picture!

P.S. I love the quote by Cartier-Bresson. So, so true!
That unfortunate dude dressed in drab looks like he was run over by a lawnmower! Bummer!

Yep! It's always fun to people watch.

Jacob, I was going to ask you when you opted for the cool haircut. ;-}
We live in a very diverse and liberal city. You talk about people watching, man you could write a book here.
a wonderful acpture of a people moment
Nice shot Jacob !Hair Style of the Man is fantastic !! Great..
Some more interesting than others! Looking at them, I am aware that I am a very dull person...
I wish I could go too.
Alas, how many months will it be until folks up here are wearing shots again?
@Leif Hagen: That was a very funny comment!

- Pixellicious Photos
Looks like there should have been a lot of great photo opp's.
@ VP - That's not what Trillian says! And you're one hell of a sharp photographer!
What an interesting mix of people. Did you get any other shots while you were there?
Check out the tatoo on the woman's leg! Now that's an art in itself!
I always wonder how people with those large tattoos are going to feel about them in another 30 years.
A crafty artsy looking bunch of waiting to crossers
Jacob, you have been taking tooooooooooo many pointers from Steffe's blog...
Any street event? I think so! LOL
Cool shot!
Léia
@ Don and Krise - I like "diverse and liberal"! I think I shall have to visit your city!
Re: the haircut - Ha, ha!
Two of those are arts and crafts in themselves.
Interesting? Hmmm - that's putting it nicely! hehehee
Yep, interesting people all right. ;-)
Your photo is living proof that it takes all kinds.
That's quite a work of art on her leg!
Ditto what Bibi said!
I wonder if this is a young family. Because if it is, then their son sure doesn't take after either mom or dad!
...on your way to the "Tattoo Festival"? We're on our way back to Florida...should be there by Nov. 21.
Cool people shot! You can tell so much from just watching them.
