Southern living

About a mile from our home stands this graceful example of southern living, surrounded, naturally, by magnolia trees.

A right way and a right place to live in! Surrounded by green and nature all the sides! I wish we could have so much of space here to live in the green...

Oh, don't be so modest Jacob. This is your summer cabin isn't it?

It's a very graceful house indeed, especially with those lovely, thin columns. But more than the house, it's the extensive grounds and lovely trees that I really like!

Very, very southern. All it needs is a little hanging moss and a few belles in the garden!

Is that the Governor of Ocala's estate? I bet you guys smoke pipes together, non? Stately, beautiful home!

Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high. Beautiful!

@ VP - No...not a mansion. This is just a single-family home and probably not all that big (perhaps 2500 square feet under air conditioning)...there are many homes in the area bigger than this one. But it's located on probably 3 + acres and looks very "southern."

It is a beautiful house! Typically southern and looks like it is well taken care of. It's still raining here, but other than a few power outages around town, Ida was a very tame storm.

This is what I picture for a southern home. I guess you got some rain yesterday so no need to water all of that green stuff.

That's so strange, I wouldn't have imagined this to be in Florida. Even though it does have those columns, it makes me think of New England, Canada or even Ireland. It's absolutely gorgeous Jacob!

I can see Scarlet and the Tarleton twins standing on the veranda

Such a relaxing setting filled with Southern charm...makes a pitcher of Mint Juleps sound about right.

This one probably has air conditioning. I'd certainly want that in your climate!
