The Yard Stop

On Highway 40, just west of I-75, is The Yard Stop, "Ocala's premier full-service lawn and garden supercenter. Our garden center is a one-stop location, offering plants, groundcovers, pavers, and outdoor living areas with complete design and installation services. Additionally, our showroom features a variety of premier lawn equipment for residential and commercial customers."

The photograph above shows about one-half of the showroom.

We buy pine straw from The Yard Stop to use as mulch around our bushes and trees.

A beautiful parade of lawn grass. Beautiful machines. Today, it is simple to mow the lawn. I still remember the scythe and sickle. I love the garden and the plants, shrubs.
Lowell, thank you for the comment on my blog.

I just bought a new Husqvarna riding mower at a place like this.

I don't mow my lawn these days, I let the grass grow for all the insects that live there, and then I take macro photos of them, It's a win-win situation really!

Haven't had my own yard in a lot of years, but the landlord got really discouraged with our dry summer, so he quit watering and we're now surrounded by dead grass and plants???? I'm not sure what the bonus for him was besides saving money???? Hope you have a great new week!!

One wonders if the machines come in any other colour!

By the way, feel free to make use of those pics of the Kathy Bates impersonator for CC.

I was thinking along the same lines as William - there seems to be a definite favourite colour scheme!

My son-in-law would love this place! Thanks for the little poem about my butterflies. Very cute!

This shop looks like it belongs Up North! I know very few people who take care of their own lawn down here. It's usually just too darn hot and uncomfortable.

Somebody had a great idea! ( and somebody else took a great picture).

Nice and colourful, and it is well organized! :)

Vrooom, vrooom! I don't see any John Deere here, though considering the many ills of our mower I'm not high on their performance these days. I'd like to see the outside area of this place.

It certainly looks like a fully-stocked store! If you can't find what you need there, you probably can't find it anywhere.

An impressive assortment! Not many stores like this one around here...

That is quite a shop. I never realised there are so many different types of lawnmowers.

I just look at this set up and realize how much yard work I haven't done!

I think I can smell the aroma of new machinery. Lots of yellow, orange and black here.

I'm struck by how neat and tidy that showroom is.

There must be some very large gardens in your area if this number of machines is anything to go by

Looks like you could get a pretty fancy mower there, Lowell!

Would be fine having one of those zero turn riding mowers, but my old walk behind mower works just fine.

A very important place!
