Women Bikers Take Over Cedar Key

We thought we'd take a nice leisurely drive over to Cedar Key.  It's about 75 miles west of where we live in Ocala.

Coming up Highway 19, we were overtaken by a group of women bikers, most of whom were driving beautiful Harleys.  I'm guessing there were about 30 people in the group.

They turned left on County Road 24 and we followed.  Sure enough they led us right into Cedar Key.

At that point they went their way and we went ours.  We saw some on the Dock later, and ran into a couple of other women bikers who were not part of the group, but said some of the women were their friends.

As we left, we noted the women's bikes still parked on the bridge, and another smaller group of bikers heading into the dock.

There's just something about Cedar Key that calls to Bikers everywhere!

This was cross-posted to Cedar Key (Florida) Photos.

That's a lot of bikers. The last one looks like one of those slingshots I featured awhile back.

Netflix, Chapter 2: Many, many television series are available on DVD and it seems like there are more all the time. I haven't looked for vintage programs but have found a lot of old movies from directors such as Alfred Hitchcock. And you can subscribe to both DVDs and streaming. Netflix isn't fussy about it as long as you're paying. Now, go browse!

This gives a new (and better) meaning to the term, "biker chick."

And you were overtaken by women? :)
Just kidding, Lowell.
Beautiful bikes and nice photos.

Those are some powerful bikes those women are riding and they look like they have been lovingly maintained.

That looks like a big group!
Our son's wife is a biker and I see pictures of her adventures on Facebook. These group trips are a big thing for them and there are places around here where they often end up. Jerome is one place and Oatman another.
The bike in your last picture is unusual.

We frequently have caravans of bikers coming through this area, usually heading for an old mining town, Jerome, up on the side of a mountain. I've never driven a motorcycle but I think I could handle one of those 3-wheelers.
