Broken Wing - A Bird House Community

This is a relatively new development in the Ocala area. It's known as "Broken Wing" and is for older birds of a certain age who can no longer fly high. Notice the houses are low to the ground.

What a lovely idea Lowell, all old birds of a certain age find it difficult to fly high 😀😀
P.s. From Perth to Sydney driving is 4000 km, roughly translated to about five days hard driving!

And neighbours are nearby for a chat in the morning :)

I wonder if I'll need a place like this one of these days!

This is a good idea, older birds certainly appreciate it.

Some species of birds do not like to live that close to their neighbors. Interesting idea to have a retirement community for birds. I thought they only used houses for nesting and rearing young. Older birds may be done with that. Interesting idea and photo.

Now isn't that a great idea. Thinking of your older community of birds, how nice and thoughtful. Nice photo, Lowell.

Old birdies don't die. They just fly a little lower.
