In college I took golf as part of a P.E. requirement, and was told I had an excellent swing and that I should take up golf. I didn't, because it didn't appeal to me. Maybe I missed a good career, and we woule be neighbors!

I think to play this game,it's really important to be patient and to know how to wait in a comfortable way "body and mind"and to be serene and positive thinking about the little ball in the right path! :) humm it's getting complicated, anyway...You understood, I hope! LOL Léia
Lucky you to have several sites to post your 'waiting' images. It was hard narrowing it down wasn't it? It's remarkable how many ways we can interpret 'waiting' and how often we find ourselves 'waiting' or observe others doing the same.
The photo is very beautiful. I'm sure golf is a very good way to relax and forget about one's works and one's daily problems. But I don't like to be kept waiting :-)))
@ Bibi - No, this could not be the pool in the film, as this pool is just a few years old. The Stone Creek wasn't even a dream when Cocoon was made...I think the Cocoon pool was located in South Florida, probably in Miami Beach. I'd have to watch it again to be sure, though.

If you can appreciate your beautiful surroundings, that is good, but if you're still fuming about the triple bogie you just had because you had to wait on those slow players, that's bad.
@ Paula - Well, you have to keep your eye on the ball! If you fail to do so, you might miss the most important thing, could even fall down, and possibly get seriously injured.
Ah, golf - the game played by Presidents, old blokes and the wealthy in baggy plus fours and funny hats!:-) I've been told the 19th hole is the most popular. Lovely photo with brilliant colour and so clear. Melbourne Daily Photo

This seems perfect! When I think of Florida in December, I think of golf. And when I think of golf, I think of standing around...waiting.
