Changing Seasons?

Over the past several weeks, I have noticed a number of CDP bloggers posting photos of the change of seasons in their community...mostly they show trees with leaves no longer green, but now orange, and red, and various other colors.

It was 92 F in Ocala yesterday.  Being in Florida, the change of seasons is hardly noticeable.  But Ocala is in the north central part of the state so, unlike south Florida, we do experience a bit of seasonal change.  This change is most apparent in December.

However, the tree pictured above (and I don't know its brand) appears to have been struck by a change of season. It is located near the pool area of the Trilogy Resort and its leaves are normally green, but lo and behold, they have changed to a reddish color.

How about that?

trees still have leaves after hurricanes

I've started taking some fall shots, but it'll probably be later in October before I do any posts. I'm wondering if our recent heat will have a bad effect on fall colours.

The trees here are changing but they don't have the bright colours you see elsewhere. Anyway, before they have a chance to change, the wind blows them off and that's it. No foliage, no leaves, nothing. I wouldn't enjoy the hot temps you are experiencing, that's just too ot for me.
Have a great weekend, Lowell. BTW, thanks for that little poem you wrote on my fog photo yesterday.

I don't know if my comment finished but I guess I hit the wrong button. I was saying thanks for the poem you left in your comment about my fog photo, I enjoyed it.

A rare sight this early in the fall around these parts! We get some color up here too, but always much later on. I do have a lot of brown leaves falling off my neighbor's tree into my yard though.

By the way, you are going to give me a big head if you keep complimenting my photography the way you do. I really appreciate it though, so don't stop! As I have said before, your comments really do mean so much to me Lowell and I thank you.

It's amazing how easily the seasons change. New becomes old, and the colours are a delight to watch. Greetings!

Beautiful photo, Lowell! Here in Montreal I am seeing some trees with red leaves, but most are still green, so far. We usually get the most dramatic colours in October!

After your hurricane it's a surprise to see that you have trees still in leaf!
I've begun taking a series of autumn shots. Around here it's a kind of now-or-never proposition. If I don't get them fast enough a storm comes along and blows them off.

The trees are still green. September here has turned out to be the hottest month of 2017. Temperatures have been around 90 °F.

Love the autumn colours Lowell. I deliberately planted deciduous trees in my garden because Perth weather is mild also, sometimes it's just the leaves changing colour and eventually dropping off that show the changing seasons ☺

It's inner clock is set to a different schedule. Like you, we won't see changes int he trees until around December or later. However, we can tell fall is here. The shorter days seems to happen rather quickly.

I've noted some slight changing of colors, but we're a couple of weeks away, at least, from the full effect.

It's nice you also can see a little the autumn colors.
