Spirit of Halloween

This used to be a Sport's Authority store. A few years ago, Sport's Authority relocated and the building has stood vacant. Now, a new store has arrived, selling all things Halloween. There must be a lot of money to be made peddling Halloween merchandise.

One sees the same here. They're open a few weeks, and then vanish yet again.

Maybe they are just a pop up store. Pop up to make a buck and then close.

Certainly popular around here.

As a primary school teacher, I can tell you that Halloween is a big deal....as is Valentine's Day.

These stores are contagious. They are popping up here also.

I guess there are bucks to be made in commercialized holidays now.

Bill's analysis seems to be the most accurate.

I wonder if they are opened the whole year? Like Bill I also thought of a pop up store, they are quite popular here.

Dear Lowell - I can only wonder how long this shop will make business, different from a shop selling all things Christmas. I had seen few things related to Halloween till several years ago in Japan. Now it’s all about commercialism and costume play. No trick-or-treating, but I’ll treat a grandson living nearby with sweets which is sold more expensive only for Halloween decoration. The spirit of Halloween is scary. Is the spirits of Halloween delicious Champagne? Wish you a happy Halloween.

Halloween is also celebrated here, Lowel. But we celebrate more The tradition of visiting the missing relatives in the cemetery, and roasting chestnuts.
Un abrazo.

There is usually a store like this here too. Halloween was one of my favorite holidays when I was a kid. It was also my father's birthday!

I've seen these kinds of pop-up stores here too. They show up during the different holidays and operate out of vacant stores.

Temporary Hallowe'en pop up shop.
